Los Orientales de paramonga- Con sabor tropical

Por mucho que me gusten Los Mirlos o Los Destellos tengo que decir, que en mi opinion, nada iguala a lo de estos muchachos. Serán esas guitarras filosas o las melodias de organo, las increibles lineas de bajo , la percusión siempre aceitada o quizás simplemente el sonido sucio y cavernoso de las grabaciones lo que tanto me entusiasma de esta banda?

Realmente no lo puedo decir ni importa demasiado. Hay cosas que son para disfrutar y punto.
A disfrutar entonces. Saborrrrrrr!

As much as I love Los Mirlos and Los Destellos, I have to say that in my opinion nothing equals these chaps. Is it those spiky guitars, or the melodies on the organ, the incredible bass lines, the well-oiled percussion, or just perhaps the dirty, cavernous sound of the recordings that excite me so much about this band?

I really can't say, nor do I really care. There are things to enjoy and that's it.

Grandes valores del Perú: Los Destellos

Realmente no se cual es el nombre de este disco de Los Destellos (probablemente una recopilación) , pero decidí acompañar el post con esta bella portada flashidelica simplemente porque me gusta. En cuanto a lo demás, si aun no saben quienes fueron estos muchachos responsables de haber electrificado la cumbia peruana de fines de los sesentas este album es un buen lugar por donde empezar. Y que siga el baile!

I don't know what the devil this record by Los Destellos is called (probably a compilation), but I decided on this beautiful flashedelic sleeve to accompany this post, just because I like it. And the other stuff? If you still haven't heard of these muchachos responsible for electrifying cumbia peruana at the end of the '60s, this album a good place to start. Dance on baby!
